Our refund policy for AI Image Detection credit packs: a full refund for unused packs within 14 days, partial refunds, and credits put back after a fault.

This refund policy covers the credit packs sold on AI Image Detection. Packs are one-time purchases with no subscription, so there is nothing to cancel. If a pack didn't work out for you, here is what you can get back and how.
Refunds for packs you haven't used
If you haven't used any credits from a pack, you can get a full refund within 14 days of buying it. No reason needed.
Partial refunds for packs you've started
If you've used some credits, you can still ask within 14 days of buying the pack. We charge the credits you used at the price of the smallest pack of the same kind, and refund the rest of what you paid:
- Standard: $0.199 per credit used ($1.99 for 10).
- Private: $0.299 per credit used ($2.99 for 10).
Refund = price paid − credits used × that rate, rounded to the nearest cent. If the result is zero or less, there is nothing to refund. A second opinion counts as the 3 credits it used.
For example, a 500-check Standard pack costs $14.99. After 20 checks you get back 14.99 − 20 × 0.199 = 14.99 − 3.98 = $11.01. After 100 checks it would be 14.99 − 19.90 = −4.91, which is below zero, so there is no refund. We charge used credits at the small-pack rate because the big-pack discount only makes sense if you keep the pack. The table above has more examples.
Credits lost to a technical fault
If a check took credits but didn't give you a result because of a fault on our side, we put the credits back. This applies for as long as the credits are valid. Checks that fail because our detection models didn't answer are not charged in the first place.
A result you disagree with is not a fault. Every detector makes mistakes, as our terms of service explain. Please use Report wrong result under the answer: it helps us measure how often we're wrong.
How to ask for a refund
Email hello@aiimagedetection.app with:
- your order number, from your receipt;
- your credit code, if you have it;
- whether you want a refund or credits put back.
We aim to reply within 3 working days. Please write to us before disputing the charge with your bank; we can usually sort it out faster.
How refunds are paid
Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Waffo Pancake (waffo.ai), which also handles taxes and refunds. It sends the refund back to the card or account you paid with. How long the money takes to reach you depends on Waffo Pancake and your bank, not on us. If we ever change merchant of record, we'll update this page.
When a refund is issued, the credits it covers are cancelled. After a full or partial refund, the credit code has no credits left.
What we don't refund
- Credits you've used for checks that worked, and packs where the used credits at the 10-check rate add up to what you paid or more.
- Packs bought more than 14 days ago, except for faults on our side.
- Credits cancelled because the terms of service were broken, for example by abuse.
This refund policy doesn't take away any rights you have under consumer law where you live. Prices are on the pricing page, and what we keep about you is in the privacy policy.
